The Importance Of Time

How many of us take time for granted? Or should i say things or people for granted? well sometimes in our business, we all tend to do it from time to time. Dealing with the cares if this life it's easy to for get.

I thought i would rise early and write what God has given me....yes God because he speaks to me in the earliest of the mornings when all is still... and that is the best time ever! I will now share with you the words he has given me.

Time, time waits on know one, oh time waits on know one
Take heed that you do,what God has given you, make haste
to run this race for time waits on know one

Time waits on know one, time slows down for know one for
tomorrow is not promised, yesterday is history we can't turn
back the hands of time, so don't put off tomorrow what you
can do today

Don't drown in your sorrows for it only brings delay for time
waits on know one, so let us run without delay, for we don't
have time to waste, so make haste, see yourself strong,
in Christ you live to him you belong your time is valuable
don't waste it, just keep holding on for time waits on know one

A Gentle Prayer

Greetings In The Name Of Jesus

Father in the name of Jesus, i thank you for another day as well as the breath i now breath. Father i realize that every time i inhale, and exhale, it's because of you lord. I'm so grateful. I realize that because of you... i live... move ... and have my being. I appreciate you lord! How excellent you are!

Now father you told us to always pray, and to pray for one another. So Lord i come before you with humility asking that you will bless those that are in need . I ask you lord for those that are lost that they will find there way as we present you to them. Lord i ask you to watch over those children where there is no dad and the mother has walked away because she can't do it anymore.

Father i pray that she would find the strength in you to return home to her children, even though the man she trusted in failed her and let her down. Help her to realize and know that your word said that you would never leave her or forsake her... help her to know that she can trust you and draw from you always.

Draw that father back to you Lord and help him to know that his family needs him and that he is not a failure! Lord let him know that you placed him as head over that household to keep it together no matter what. Help him know that you have never left him even through tough times and that you have provided for him as he provides for his family.

lord unite them back together again and let forgiveness take place as the healing began.

Lord , i know that you are a God of restoration. I know that you hear our prayers and will answer. We need you Lord and trust you. Help us Lord to be helpers of one another for we realize that we are our brother's keeper.

For the race is not given to the swift , nor to the strong, but to him that endures to the end. help us to run this race with patience and to never give up on each other , but to keep one another lifted up in prayer and in your love.

For i have this assurance that .. You love us!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and we ought to do the same toward one another. Have mercy on us oh Lord according to your loving kindness and your tender mercies.

Teach us Lord in the way we should go and help us to spread the good news as you are soon to return.

This i ask in your name, Amen.

Man In The Mirrow

Remember the story of Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs? I kinda thought you would. You know how the story goes when she ate that apple and slept for a while?" The witch ended up asking the Mirrow, "Mirrow Mirrow on the wall, who's the fairest of them all"?.

I'm sure she got an answer but not one she wanted to hear because Snow White was beautiful and i think that bought out a little jealousy in the witch. Some of us have mirrows on the wall , in our make-up cases and so on.

We look in them sometimes when we're getting ready to see how we look before we leave the house for the morning's commute or just for an outing. Not that i want to bring this up ,but the day that Micheal Jackson was pronounced dead, i was shocked just as some of you were . First,i didn't want to believe it and i'm sure some of you shared the same emotions as well.

I heard what they said about him and you know how all the secrets come out from behind the walls of judgment instead of just shutting up and sharing the sorrow of his lost, because i was surely sadden as were some of you.

I woke up one morning and what i heard of the melody was "Looking At The Man In the Mirrow".

My response was oh my" that is a message in that song ' I will always acknowledge the awesomess of God for taking those words and dropping them into my spirit to write!
Yes it's because of him that i write when ever he moves upon me because i know he wants to the church world and to those that are not church going to hear this! I must obey him at all cost

When we look into our mirrows what do we see? do we only look at the outward appearance only to see what we think looks good if so that's okay too, but do we really see the soul s of our inward man?

I thinking the song says" take a look at yourself and lets make that change."

Looking in the mirrow, when we see ourselves do we say "mirrow, mirrow i show look good whether you tell me or not". cuz i know i got it going on! have you ever done or said that?

But if we're truthful there is a lot more to the outward appearance than you think. Those hidden things that nobody know about but you, ooops,! or did you forget God already knows.

Out of that one song is a powerful message and it is that it's time for us to clean up our act, especcially the house of God, because that's where judgment is going to began because the word of God says so! Read peter 4:17, I am only giving you what God has given me, to reject his word is to reject him!

I said Lord whats in this song from a spiritual point of view?. Well he said just like the woman caught in adultery' those that had just no doubt gotten out of bed with her wanted to throw those rocks fast because no doubt those that has wives in that crowd didn't want to be exposed (ha).

They were willing to stone her quickly for that was thier mirrow getting ready to show them up and if i had my way they would say mirrow, mirrow on the wall' my wife is here and i don't want to fall", kinda funny isn't it? but it's true they wanted to keep thier stuff hid but wanted to stone her so she wouldn't tell.

Jesus is on the way back to recieve those that will be caught up to meet him, will you be ready when you really take a long look in the mirrow so you can make the change?

There are many mirrows in our lives , we see them but want do anything about them, thier are mirrows of unforgivness, hatered, lieing.bitterness gossiping, swearing, stealing, lonliness, fear, secrets cheating, wrongful thinking, getting caught up in something you know nothing about ,but just going along without seeking whether it's true or not, just like them that wanted to destroy this aldultress.

Just like they did and are still doing Michael Jackson, yes they took it and ran with the child molestation, they heard, they took it and ran with it without looking in the mirrow of thier souls!
My heart was broken as they made comments about him as he tried to defend himself and they still choose to critize him! He himself said"i'm not guilty,he said he'd rather slit his own wrist before bringing harm to an innocient child!(hey) we're not the judge( remember your mirrows.

But my friends what if the mirrow was turned on you when you had a chance to make this world a better place, you chose not to and are still doing it today by not coming together, look! in your mirrow and asked " mirrow, mirrow, am i free from a fall? And if it could respond, it would say"No my friend , not at all"!.

It's time for all of us to shut up and pray that our broken mirrow is put back together so we can make a change. for we never know why he sang that song with lyrics so very true, but God knows, you see my friend, God has many ways to get his message accross, but will we take heed?

I don't care who it comes from ,as long as it has been carried out. We should take inventory of ourselves and say "mirrow, mirrow on the wall of our souls, help me to clean up cob webs and all, for you see play time is very much over for us and it s time to tell our brothers and sisters to take a good look and see what you see in the mirrow of your heart mind and soul!

It's time to clean up.
My husband and i service buildings and sometimes when we're cleaning thw entry doors, he'll mix a little water with the concentrated Windex and if you put to much water it will leave a streak. So i said in order for that to work ,use the full strenghth like it is".He tried and guess what happened? no more streaks.

Some of us need to look in the mirrow and let God give us the answer and ask him to clean up the streaks hidden in us behind the mirrow! While lookingin the mirrow God can make that change in us so we can be more effective in changing someone else.

Making that change in your mirrow God can fix broken glass, tearing out all the paper and the glue that we see hold it together when it's really not being held at all except with Jesus for he's the man that holds the glue and the paper and the nails together.

The man in the mirrow is you and it's time to make that change! think about the song, really listen to the words of the song and understand the lyrics and apply it, for it is more to it than you realize. Think about it.

God Still Works Miracles

Sometimes we think that the miracles God did back in bible days does not exist today. I'd like to share with you and encourage you that he is the same God today,as he was back then. In his word he said that " I am God and i change not" Malachi.3:6.

I've seen the reaction of people when they receive a bad report from their physician, the first thing the natural man would do is "panic" of course that's the human part of us. Jesus words said in Isiah 53:5 but he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes , we were healed.God's word is so true.

Did you not know that he said the prayers of the righteous dwelleth much. When we tell others of the report we've received, and that person says to you"can i pray for you?"sometimes it's a yes and sometimes it not. They don't realize that you're not trying to force anything on them, but you want to share your faith and encourgement through the word of God knowing that he still works miracles.

When the woman touched the hem of his garment virtue went out of him and she was healed because of her faith. Matthew 4:23 states "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospels of the Kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Now God word is true in every situation and he still does works miracles.

My prayer is that if ever i'm faced with a situation in my body, i would want praying, faith filled people to pray for me and never let up as i stand and beleive God for myself. Dont' get me wrong, for it is God that gives Doctor;s and nurses the wisdom that they have and they do go to God in prayer, and when they've exausted all means they usually say"we've done all we can do, it's in Gods hands.

That lets me know that they beleive in miracles or it will take a miracle for this person to pull through yes , some of them beleive God also.

Yes believe it or not He, God is still in the miracle working business and so be it according to you faith. As i was writing ,i was reminded of a song "It took a Miracle" and the word says"

It took a miracle to hang the stars in space, it took a miracle to set the sun in place, but when he saved my soul cleansed and made me whole, it took a miracle of love and grace".

I hope i've said something that will encourage your hearts as well as increase your faith and to let you know that "Miracles Still Happens".

Stay Blessed,
Stay Encouraged!

Do You Know What It Means to say I surrender To God?

Greetings In The Name Of Jesus The Lover of My Soul!

While sitting in the service this morning at The Potters House i was taken in by the message that Pastor Jakes bought "The Power Of Surrender." Now as he began to speak about Jacob wrestling with the Angel i was listening and being blessed as the message unfold and compared to our life as being children of God. I thought on how we wrestle with things in our everyday lives. It could be based on bills, job lost, sickness ,dissapointment, fear, depression, discouragement and so on , you know the things we deal with. Sometimes when i'm in service God speaks to me and i write, so this question was given to me and that's how i got the title and wanted to share this with you today as to what was said to me about surrendering. When the question was asked, i replied, 'that is so powerful. Now to totality surrender means to give him you life, your mind your voice your talk and even your walk with him means giving him your overall you, the one he created to worship and serve him with your hold hear. Saying yes to him and letting him know that you truely trust him to be everything that he said he would be to you and everyone else. Now there are times when we feel the shuffel of doubt and interference , but if we can fastly grasp what and who were are focusing on we will fastly snap back becuase we have the word. To surrender to him means putting him first, yes he has to have first place in our lives because it is he that have made us ,and not we ourselves.
Putting him first means to seek him no matter what it takes and finding that secret place in him and knowing that you have sought until you found that special place where there is one on one communication with you and him alone. Oh just bask in his presence is the most ultimate rejuvenating thing you can ever experience! Remember when Moses went upon the mountain and stayed there until God was done with him and when he came down he knew that he had experienced an awesome powerful time with God that know man could have given him! I'm praising God as i'm writing this be cause he keeps giving me more.If you only knew how he speaks to me as i fellowship with him, as Pastor said God speaks to you in a language only you can understand because he's communing directly with you! I understood and could relate to what he was preaching . God is so faithful and forever mindful.
God wants that time with us like never before and it is so important to spend time with him on daily basis. My husband and i were on the way home from work and yes we were bought tired. So as we were approaching the downtown area, I heard the Lord say' tell him to go through downtown', i did as i was directed i said 'Ron lets take field street exit and go through downtown, his reply was 'well i'm just trying to hurry and get home( not in an angry way )and he said you must want to browse or something? i replied ,i was led for us to take this route,he said'well i'm just trying to get home'. I was reminded of something my Mother said "sometime the longest way home is the safest way home'. So as he took the exit we proceeded to come across the zang bridge and as we came upon zang and twelth as the light change the Lord had me look over at that same freeway and it was backed up as for back as you could see along with firetrucks, ambulances and ploice cars and traffic was at a standstill. I said Oh my goodness look at what we would have been in if we hadn't listen to the voice of God! He said 'thank you Sharon!
I said know thank God for telling us to go this way and we prayed for the incident that had taken place on the freeway and thank God for letting us make it home safely. Spending time with God is the most beautifuliest, awnessomeness, words cannot express thing you could ever do for yourself and others, because it prepares us from day to day that God allows us to wake up and do it all over again.I love God sooooooooo very much and am sure you do too. I could go on and on and never run out of things to say about surrendering your all to him and experiencing his ultimate goodness! How great is that ,better yet 'How great is our God!

I hope that by shareing my blog page with you, that you are and have been blessed and encouraged, and found time to laugh and to share with someone else.Until next blog time stay blessed and look for for inspirations that God has given me!

Who Knows What a Mom Feels On Her Childs Wedding Day?

Hi , It's Me Again

Today I'm writing about something very important that happened to me today. In a mom's life, she is blessed with children, and during that time she gets to nurture, love, encourage, support, listen, hug, shed tears, pray, and run with them. During their school days volunteering, you sometimes become other kids' mom; you help on the PTA committee, comfort them when they are sick and all that other good stuff that makes someone a mom (smile). I will tell you a little about my kids. I was blessed to birth three into the world whom I love dearly - Timothy, Christina, and Tyrone. On the day of my oldest son's graduation, I woke up and it was as if his life flashed before me like lighting; I saw him as a infant, toddler, preschooler, preteen, teenager, and then an adult. What did I do after that? I cried and wondered where did the time go? I was with him all that time being supportive and all that, but it just seemed like time went so very fast as it did with Christina and Tyrone. There was a song I listened to on a commercial that went like this:
"Where are you going my little ones
my little ones soon you will turn around
and have kids of your own".

And that really happened. I have been blessed to see my children married and even through that you still wonder if you did everything to prepare them for life. It's then when you look back and God lets you see the fruit of your labor and that it wasn't in vain. I thank God for my children, and most of all I thank God that their lives are in Christ and they are continuing on for Him. My question was "what happens to a mom on her child's wedding day?" If I could only tell you what I felt at that time, it was like the flood of tears wouldn't stop, all the flashbacks happened all over again. I was trying to apologize and my beautiful son said, "It's okay mom, it's okay," as he made sure I was alright. I drove off and as I was driving the tears just kept coming. I knew that I was being prepared as God told me things little by little in such an exciting but gentle way as if to say, "I have to prepare her for the move a little at a time". And so He did. I asked God to help me to release my son little by little, and He gave me strength to do that. I knew I had to let go just as I did with the others so that he could spread his wings and soar; so he could move to another phase in his life and be the man God has chose him to be. I've always been protective of my children, as so many moms are, but there is a time when we learn to release, pray, and look to see that your work was not in vain; the nights you set up with them rocking them in your arms was not in vain. All the things we've done as moms will never be in vain. I've had a many people tell me about my kids, "Sharon, a job well done!", and I glorify God for that. Well, as I got my cry out, God gave me comfort. I'm not going to say that I don't want be there for them, but I've always told them if they need me, I'm just a prayer and phone call away. I mean just that! (smile) Well, I know there will be some of you that are going through the same thing, or about to, but my words to you are to lean on God for strength, let Him dry your tears, and comfort your heart as I did as everything will be alright. I know because I've been there three times. I've been there and yes, I've experienced and lived it. Now I know to look on the bright side; as they say you're not losing a son or daughter but God is blessing you with new ones to look forward to seeing everyday, on holidays, or just those whenever days(smile). Another thing I realized is that "I'M AN EMPTY NESTER", but I tell them they can always come back! There is nothing like the love of a mother.
I hope I've said something that inspired you, made you think, and made you laugh for it does a heart good. Until next time, be blessed. Oh by the way, my son asked his wife to be " I know she's going to break but I don't know when." Little did he know I broke down secretly last year around December and thought I was finished and wasn't. I came home from work in January and didn't know what was wrong but, I had a crying fit and a friend just happened to call and talk to me, only I couldn't. She asked, "Do you need me to come over?" I said, "No, I'll be alright." Then she said, "Can you tell me what's wrong? Are you worried, sick or unhappy?" I said "no", and then she said, "Maybe it's your baby son getting married." That's when I realized that's what it was, and it was just hitting me for the second time. I said all that to say this- yes, I did break, but I'm real excited about this event, it is truly an exciting one that we are looking forward to. I love my daughter to be (and as of this posting my NEW daughter), she is a jewel.

When Tommorrow Never Comes

You might think this is an unusual title, but when you think about it, the title is something that applies to our everyday lives. Again you might say, " it does not apply to me", but as this title unfolds, it will cause you to think of all the times you've made promises with good intentions and never followed through, which comes with being human. Don't be so hard on yourselves for we are still learning. Have you ever had someone tell you that they would like to get together and plan an event? You both agree on the time and location only to not hear from him/her the day you both seemed mutually excitied for. Without a call or sign from your friend, you give that person the benefit of doubt and that's when your tomorrow never came. You are left to wonder and hope that everything is okay, but you go on with life.

Remember your word is your bond, and if it is no good on a continuous basis, a person loses trust in you and your words. We have to be so careful as to what we commit. Even in making commitments if something should occur, make the effort to communicate if you're unable to follow through. I remember one time I had a friend ask what I was doing to which I replied that I was making breakfast.

"Can I come over and eat?"

"Yes, you are more than welcome!", I said.

"I'll be there in 10 minutes" was the reply.

Guess what? Food was on the table and an extra plate was set. I waited patiently, but soon I had to just eat alone and put everything away because tomorrow never came. Time after time, I've taken people like this friend at their word, but I've become more hesitant. It takes a lot for me to stop trusting because again, we are human. However, if we are not very, very careful, we will be caught up in a lie. Sure, you might have good intentions, but Psalms 101:7 says, "He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight." This is definitely something to take seriously. If you can't keep a commitment, make tomorrow come by giving a call and not taking for granted that a person will just "understand" or"get over it".

Empty promises and no follow-through is similar to the story of the boy that cried wolf if you think about it. People will stop believing in you and your words, and it's bad when it gets to that point. We are all accountable for the things we do in this life, and we should set an example that others would want to follow. Make someone's tomorrow come by keeping you word to them if at all possible.

I'm also reminded of a story where this child was told that she was going for a ride and would return home shortly afterward. Well, as she was riding, everything was okay, but what should have been an evening of fun and dinner turned out to be the longest ride ever. Tears began to fall and she was left wondering when she would return home. Well, with such a long ride, she soon tired and fell asleep only to wake to the ongoing ride and stopping for potty breaks. Her tomorrow never came as she learned that she was not going back home! Hopes and dreams were shattered. Fearful and never getting a chance to say goodbye, or to sleep in her own bed. Even to sit at the table again with Mom wasn't foreseeable.

You might say that wasn't so bad as long as she was cared for but, I venture to tell you that everyone's make-up is different. Some people are stronger in areas where others are weaker, so don't hastily criticize or pass judgment, with your little perfect, faultless self. In my thinking, the child probably would have handled it better if it had been explained beforehand. With that, I think that her tomorrow would have come, and the hurt and confusion would have been lessened. Attempts to comfort the child would have been received out of love rather than mistrust or fear(when tomorrow never comes). Think of the lives that have been messed up because one individual did not take the time to make the call, or to say "I'm sorry, there was a change of plans" (make tomorrow come). An explanation is better than none at all. Let us all tighten up the loose ends of our lives in every aspect and help someone's tomorrow come. I don't know why God gives me topics to write; I only follow his command to get a message out. Some will read and receive while others won't, but I can be at peace knowing that I've done what He's told me to do. I know that in the end, God has a crown laid up for me, that I will receive on that day when I meet Him in glory.

Taking Nothing for Granted, But Being Grateful For Everything

Taking Nothing for Granted, but Being Grateful for Everything

Good Morning(smile)!

I thought i would take this time to speak words that will help you take a deeper look inside of whats inside of you. Your thoughts, emotions and all . When God woke me up this morning , the first thing i did was to tell him thank you for letting me see another day! I told him i was grateful for the breath he blew into my nostrils and allowed me to inhale , and exhale, oh yes it all belongs to him because according to the scripture it says in Acts 17:28 verse "for in him we live, and move, and have our being;. that is enough to let us know that we are nothing without, or can do nothing without him. I venture to say a lot of people think that they did it on their own, got up on their own, but let me let you in on a little secret!, if it was not for him you would be still lying there lifeless ! Oh but thank God for his grace and mercy to allow us to breathe his breath, get up and dress ourselves, to be able to function normally. Don't take life for granted ,ask God to help us not to complain and to walk in a way that is pleasing to him. We are not perfect, but the perfecter is waiting to help us if we ask him. God's word says in Psalms 37:4 that if we delight ourselves also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Don't have time for him? what if he didn't have time for us, what if he said "well ,i guess i will just let you breath today and at 12 midnight i will just put my oxygen on hold, what if he said "maybe i will let you see only for one hour and the rest of the day or week you're in total darkness, what if he said i am tired, i don't feel like giving them total mobility of their body, i can go on and on but i think by now we get the message. I'm so glad to know and acknowledge him in all that i do for you see i don't and can't and want take him for granted for a single minute even when i fall short or mess up i don't mind saying, Lord please have mercy on my soul. Let us be grateful for all that god does for us, how he extends his love to us,let us take time out just to say thank you lord! I'm thanking you lord for waking me up this morning, thanking you for the activity of my limbs, for the air that fills my lungs that transfers oxygen to my brain to that i can function normally, thanking you for a sound mind and in all essence i take nothing for granted. As God allows us to see another day and as we put him first, let us bring about change in others, as we allow God to bring about change in us. Love on someone today, say a good word today, laugh ,it's good for the soul and it relieves stress. Rest in the lord, casting all your cares on him for he cares for us,yes he really does, try him., he not going to do anything to hurt you or harm you but to only supply all your needs according to his riches in glory.

Rise Above Spoken Words of Negativity

Hey, look how big you got!
Big head and teeth fallen out!
Sometimes too big, sometimes too small,
Even too tall, body just don't match at all!

Spoken words that hurt
rise above those words
And let it out with a SHOUT
For you're more than a conqueror
Because it was He that brought you out

Words said in negativity can beat you down
So that you can't see the beauty inside or the victory

You've got to rise above those words that get you down
Hold your head up please stop looking down
Just stand on the Word, it's solid ground

Can't say anything nice? Say nothing at all
Stop rejoicing in your brothers fall
Remembering that Jesus died for us all

Rise above those that won't build you up
Shake off all that negative stuff

Look up, look up, your redemption is nigh
He can come any day, look towards the sky!
Hold your head up, stand straight as a soldier
Keep looking toward Jesus, he'll make you stronger

Be Careful of The Stones You Throw

I was inspired to write this:

Sometimes we as human beings tend to bring those past issues in our lives or the lives of others up so we can forever have something to gossip about. But i was told that when Jesus spoke to the woman that was caught in adultery, he asked her "Woman, where are your accusers?" she looked around and there were none. Even though she was guilty of the crime as with others that were with her, Jesus said, "Go thy way and sin no more" Now I'm sure all of us that walk the face of the earth in this life has done more or some of the same stuff that the woman did. We sometimes fall so deep into sin and think that there is no hope of ever stopping, but that's what the enemy wants us to think. I am so glad that Jesus loves enough to stretch forth his hand and compels us to come to him. Oh yes, we can come out of the mess we've fallen into. Someone might ask,"Well, how does He compel us to come?". My answer to that is when we attend church on a regular basis, the word that's being spoken through the man or woman of God tells us that we can change and be made whole, delivered, and set free. Sometimes what we're in seems so good and pleasurable and satisfying, that we don't want to let go. Oh yes, I have been there, but I had to want to do right, and when I heard the word of God and its convicting power, I repented and God heard my cry. He changed my desires and set me free. You might ask the question were you ever tempted again? Yes, I was, and each time I had to cry out to God and ask him to help me! Each time it got easier as I became stronger. Someone might say I wonder what sin did she do? Well, my sisters and brothers, it doesn't matter because sin is sin, which takes me back to the title "Be careful of the stones you throw" You see if a person told you all they were delivered from, some of it might bless you; some of it can cause you to use it against that individual-what God has already delivered them from. They told you so that you can know that God is a deliverer, but yet you gossip and bring things up, point fingers, and whisper to others when it was told to you for you to be set free of what holds you captive. We as children of God should remember He said, "go into the highways and hedges and compel men to come!" And when they do, we that are in Christ must be ready to receive them with love and be prayed up so we can help get them delivered through the word of God! Now some "stones" are gossiping, backbiting, repeating those things that were told to you in confidence, holding things in our heart against one another, and getting more and more in bondage. Causing confusion, showing favoritism, jealousy, etc.- these things need to be done away with if we are to please God and walk in a way that we can help others and see the change when it comes about. At this time, we can't afford to waste time because we're on a battlefield, and we have to fight hard to win. The enemy is not going to give up and neither should we. The word says that we are "the light of the world, a city that sits on a hill that cannot be hidden." In my conclusion, let us love one another as Christ loved us; let us run this race with patience always praying for one another, and run swiftly to do the work of the lord.
